The Beach

Waves crash off algi infested rocks
Bit by bit the grains fall though a wet, sloping sand to be resent again over and over A brother and sister sit together on a chequered blanket nibling a sandwich
In the far right two gulls fly together on a yellow sky.
Sunshine glows on rippled water. Colors bright and vivid
I stand and gaze in wonder at this sight,
A picture on a stretched canvas
Standing tall and framed in pine. Still shadowed from a lamp
Aloft above the mantle piece
